Frequently Asked Questions

  • So, what makes Mirage different from other workshops?
Our workshops champion diverse couples and vibrant designs aimed to elevate your portfolio and brand. Our team crafts scenes that invite not only wedding vendors to think outside the box, but also expose real couples to designs that inspire unique weddings.
  • What skill level do the workshops cater to?
Any and every! Whether you are just getting started, looking to add a little edge to your content or really resonate with the design--we can’t wait to meet you!
  • Will I have time to get my shots?
Absolutely. Mirage may be eclectic, but our systems are organized and prepared. We will have intimate groups of photographers (and videographers!) who will each receive a 5 minute preferred position status within each set.
  • What should I bring on shoot days?
All participants will receive equally allotted time in a Lead Position during each vingette. Please come prepared with your own creative prompts, poses, and even tools (prisms, copper cylinders, etc.) We want your images to be unique, so use your preferred position status to your advantage. Strobes/light kits are welcome (limit 1 light stand per participant, please) and will have a short OCF demo at the beginning of the workshop for those curious!
  • What about publication?
Every participant will receive limited rights to the images taken during the workshop. These include the use on social media outlets and professional websites. We have now opened our policy on submissions to include nonexclusive publications. Upon notification, participants are allowed to submit their work (with proper credit given) after Mirage Creative Workshop hears back from their publishers. • I’ve finished editing, what next?
We know you’re so excited to share your work and we can’t wait to see it! Participants are under no obligation to share their work with MCW, but if you’d like to share, please send your gallery to megan@hoseahousecollective.com! We will be submitting Rebecca Stone’s gallery for publication, so we do ask that you share limited work on social media / websites until we hear confirmation from publishers (usually within 60 days) Specific questions? Let us know below. Specific questions? Let us know. When posting, all we ask is that you use the tag list provided and tag vendors appropriately.
